Semiconductor
The electronics industry is dependent upon precisely controlled chemistry for the fabrication of semiconductor manufactures devices, with processes that require ultrapure water, acid-based etching, and cleaning with harsh chemicals at elevated temperatures. Its robust heat exchangers industry are used in the production of world-class electronic chemicals, in the cooling of etchants inside tools, and cooling spent chemicals as they are drained from process equipment. Millions of feet of its high-purity tubing are used in chemical supply systems in wafer fabs around the world. Heat Exchanger Industry are used in various industrial applications such petroleum oil, power plant generation, chemical processing plant, air conditioning and refrigeration and other Industries.
As circuitry gets smaller and smaller, fabs require higher and higher levels of purity. Improper materials present in wet processing equipment components release leachates, ions and contamination, compromising semiconductor device quality. Niche’s products, made of the highest purity fluoropolymer, will not interact with process fluids and allow semiconductor fabs to achieve the extreme quality critical to their businesses.
Industrial
Chemical manufacturing, chemical processing, metal processing and surface finishing processes depend on corrosive chemical fluids that must be heated, cooled and condensed. Niche FPP heat exchangers industry provide reliable, low maintenance service by preventing the corrosion, scaling and fouling common with systems made of standard materials. Corrosive chemicals, such as hydrochloric, sulfuric, nitric, and hydrofluoric acids, and bases, such as liquid caustic, simply do not react with its high-quality fluoropolymer-based immersion coils and shell-and-tube heat exchangers.
Surface finishing and pickling requires aggressive chemicals and an optimal bath temperature. In this environment, heat exchangers made of metal corrode, scale and foul, resulting in increased maintenance downtime, reduced heat transfer efficiency, and shorter service life. Graphite and glass heat exchangers also foul, and are highly vulnerable to being compromised by mechanical and thermal shock. In contrast, both immersion-style and external shell and tube heat exchanger bundles are made of FEP, PFA, or proprietary “Q” resins, providing reliable low maintenance heat transfer with unmatched resistance to corrosion, fouling and thermal/mechanical shock.
Foundry
With more than half a century of metallurgical experience, Niche FPP is the partner of choice among the world’s leading foundries and investment casting producers. From medical implants and turbine blades to industrial pump housings and engine blocks, high-temperature filter products are known for their reliable performance capturing molten-metal slag, dross and other harmful inclusions. In addition, its filters are uniquely suited to lower costs in the finishing room, where gating and risers are removed from the end casting using bandsaws, cutting torches, hydraulic wedges and even air-hammers.
Niche filters speed de-gating and riser removal by creating cleavage planes— break-off points— in the gating and riser contact areas of the mold. It’s common for cleavage planes to break apart by themselves during shakeout. Risers are similarly easy to remove, typically by the slight impact of a shop hammer, leaving a uniformly flat plane on the casting contact area. Ceramic foam and ceramic cellular (honeycomb) filters are not able to perform this way.
Metal casting producers in today’s hyper-efficient global market must adapt to ever-higher customer quality standards, while simultaneously minimizing their internal costs. Niche filters help do both. What’s more, its technical support team helps with customized applications, casting defect analysis, and scrap rate reduction.
